22″ Cooperman Bodhran.
This is the Cooperman standard Bodhran Model with rennaissance head. Compared to the Glen Velez model, the frame is a bit thicker.

This is such a versatile instrument. You can play it lapstyle or upright, with the strings attached ot disabled.

16″ Cooperman Tar
Cooperman Standard model Tar with rennaissance head. This one is also comfortable for both lapstyle and upright playing. In the video you see the Tar, the same model is also available with strings as Bendir.

22″ David Roman Drums Mazhar
All Davidromandrums instruments come with air-tuning system. It’s very convenient and you can change pitch very quickly. Check it out here.
My favourite DRD lapstyle drum is the 22″ Mazhar with heavy frame and goat or thin calf skin. It has an amazing tuning range, warm bass and sharp Taks. In the video you see the same drum (goat skin) in 3 different tunings.

22″ David Roman Drums Airweight
The airweight is as light as it gets. I still have to find a lighter 22″ Drum than this one. It’s very comfortable to play it upright but it still has the sound and resonance of a large drum. Great to play upright, if you are looking for a lapstyle drum, the Mazhar or Bodhran gives more stability.

14″ David Roman Drums Tar
This is a very light and easy to handle drum (also) for any beginner. If you like, you can tune it tightly and it will give you a high, sharp sound. Video from a solo concert at Potsdamer Platz in 2004.

14″ David Roman Drums Mazhar
Deeper frame and heavier than the airweight. Soundwise less sharp but more punch. I like the thumbhole better than a cutout, but both is possible. Medium-thin skin. The video is from my first DVD.
