Rudolstadt
The “Dance and Folkmusic festival” in Rudolstadt is Germany’s biggest yearly worldmusic festival. Every year there is one “magic instrument” that is featured. This year it was the frame drums. We met for a week with a couple of frame drummers from all over the place, rehearsed and then played a couple of concerts together. The musicians included Glen Velez and Lori Cotler, Tommy Hayes, David Conte, Itamar Doari, Caito Mercondez and Sameer Makhoul. What a fun week!
